Rona's Percent Post

A percent is an amount that is never exact because it will always be a % out of 100.
100 percent means the whole thing (everything).
To find 100 percent, you divide by 1.
50 percent means half.
To find 50 percent, you divide by 2.
10 percent means 1/10, or 10/100.
To find 10 percent, you divide by 10.
25 percent means 25/100, or 1/4.
To find 25 percent, you divide by 4.
1 percent means 1/100.
To find one percent, you divide by 100.

Converting fraction

Converting decimal

To turn 26% into a fraction you divide by 100. To turn 26% into a fraction you divide 26 by 100 and you get 0.26 (26/10)
To turn 7/10 into a decimal you need to divide 7 by 10. To turn it into a decimal you need to multiply the decimal by 100.
To turn 0.024 into a percent you need to multiply it by 100. To turn it into a fraction you need to multiply the percent by 100 and you get 0.024 (24/1000)
