Gabby's Pay it Forward post.

What is Pay it Forward? (Part 1)

   In my opinion, Pay it Forward is a random act of kindness towards someone or many;
It is something that helps  younger (sometimes older) people understand further than just eating, sleeping and playing. It gives us a better understanding of the future and others.

Pay it Forward was planned to spread random acts of kindness throughout our society, to give thanks to people because maybe in the past, present or in the future you may also need someone else' generosity.

My Pay it Forward: (Part 2)

For my first Pay it Forward I decided on giving teachers and neighbors little notes that reminded them that they are important and that they should always keep a smile on there face everyday. I did this assignment on December 13th 2013 (Teachers), and December 22nd 2013 (Neighbors)

My second Pay it Forward assignment  was to donate clothes and non perishable foods to Winnipeg harvest. This was due to the fact that there are millions of people who go homeless without food and need help to get back up on there feet. I did this assignment on January 3rd 2014.

(First)  I picked this assignment to acknowledge the fact that they have helped me understand a life lesson nor an academic lecture. They took part of my life and helped me, which I am very grateful for.

(Second) I picked this other assignment because many kids go starving and with no clothes every year. It's sad to hear that us people in general think that food is an unlimited resources but really it's not.

Did it go well?: (Part 3)

My first Pay it Forward assignment went well and I had a great time. At first I wasn't sure about how they would react (I signed all of the notes anonymous) but they seemed happy and seeing them smile also made me smile.

My second Pay it Forward assignment went well and I found many things that my family and relatives no longer need. We tried our best to gather as much things as we can, and it was a huge success.

What I felt:

I felt a bit sad due to the fact that people are homeless and starving but we take everything we have for granted. We never think about the food we waste and those people who don't have food.

Why is Pay it Forward important to me? (Part 4)

In my opinion Pay it Forward is important because it helped me mature and think about others and not only about myself. It helped me get a better understanding on other people and how I should be taking action. One little action such as giving a person a positive note may brighten up there day.

Pay it Forward gives people a chance to give and not take. To show others that we should all be taking action towards small or rather large crisis' in the world.

Julius' Pay it forward

 Julius' pay it forward

Part 1:
Pay it forward is when you do something nice for 3 three people, and they do it for 3 other people and this chain becomes even bigger. You do this to either make them feel good or help them with something.

Part 2a:
My pay it forward was babysitting my baby cousin since her parents were shopping for Christmas. My parents couldn't do it because they were picking up my aunt from the airport. I babysat my cousin for an hour until my parents took over. I did this on December 23rd.

Part 2b:
I chose to do this because my cousin's parents were away and she cries a lot when her parents aren't here and I wanted to hear her laugh not cry

Part 2c:
I helped my my aunt and my uncle because they were too taken up in the Christmas rush

Part 2d:
I did this on December 23rd

Part 3a:
there were a few rough spots here and there, since i haven't babysat anyone, but overall it went very well.

Part 3b:
When my cousin laughed instead cried it put a big smile on face and it made me feel very nice.

Part 4:
Pay it forward is something that has probably gone over some peoples head and they just wiped it off as another idea. But this could become something more and if everyone did this the world would feel happier.

Angie's Pay it Forward

Part 1

What is "Pay It Forward?"
Pay it Forward is a random act of kindness you do to 3 people. Then those 3 people will do a random act of kindness, therefore this will create a ripple effect. You don't really get anything in return, you just feel good about it.

Part 2

What was your "Pay It Forward" act of kindness?
My Pay it Forward act of kindness was to leave a short kind note on the windshield of person's car in hopes to cheer them up or to possibly, put a smile on their face.

Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because sometimes I look out the window to see people sad, tired or maybe in just a bad mood so I really wanted to do something about it.

Who did you help?
I didn't really "help" anybody. The purpose of this was to just make someone smile or to make
someone's day.

What did you do?
I wrote a short note and left it on the windshield of a person's car that was parked along my street. It was literally the only car left parked on my street so I was in luck.

When did you do your act of kindness?
I did my act of kindness on January 5 2014.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?/What happened?
My act of kindness went really well. I had really enjoyed doing it. I hoped that the person who received the note appreciated it.

How did you feel?
I felt joy in doing this whole project. I think that it would really make a person smile.

How did the person/people react?
I didn't really see how the person reacted to my note. I waited for a few hours to see if the owner came back to his/hers car. Unfortunately the car was already gone by then.

Did you ask the person/people to "Pay It Forward?"
I actually did write on the note for the person to pay it forward. I also explained what Pay it Forward was all about just in case they were confused.

How did they react to your request?
I'm not sure how the person reacted since I didn't verbally say it to them and by then the person was already gone.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay It Forward" important?
I think that the idea of "Pay it Forward" is important because doing something positive for a stranger could really impact that person or to maybe motivate that person to do something kind to another stranger. Doesn't matter what height you are, what age you are, etc. anyone can do this. Doing this can spread alot of positivity and good vibes from one person to another person.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
My act of kindness hasn't really made a difference. Hopefully it will motivate some people to go out and do this type of positive thing. Something so small like a smile from a stranger can make anyone's day.

Ian's Pay It Forward

Part 1

Pay It Forward is a random act of kindness to anyone. You do something good for them and they do good for 3 other people. The chain gets bigger and bigger.

Part 2

For my Pay It Forward, I volunteered at Winnipeg Harvest. I chose this activity because Winnipeg Harvest helps a lot of people so I wanted to help at Winnipeg Harvest. We sorted different kinds of bread that will be distributed to people in need. I did my act of kindness in December 28 2013.

Part 3

It went really well. There was other people volunteering, doing many things. I felt good for volunteering. They felt proud of us because we wanted to help other people in a young age. They are already helping other people because they were working or volunteering there. I did not ask them because they are already doing an act of kindness.

Part 4

The idea of Pay It Forward is important because doing a random act of kindness to a friend, family or someone you don't know is good.  The person that you did an act of kindness may do a random act of kindness to another person too which will keep people happy. I don't know if my act of kindness has made a difference yet.

Jules' Pay It Forward

What is Pay it Forward?
Pay it forward is an act of kindness to a stranger, friend, or relative. You spread your kindness to 3 people and then those 3 people will spread their kindness onto another 3 people and you get the point.

My Pay it Forward act of kindness was to write thank you cards to my close friends with Sherry, Mika, and Katrina except we made separate cards. I chose this activity because it was a really great idea and a good way to thank my friends for all the great stuff they do for me. The people I helped were my best friends Nina, Jordynne, Seemeen, Rona, Patricia, Janette, Zoe, Gabby, Mika, Sherry, Katrina, and Dani. What I did was I wrote a paragraph of what I was going to put inside, I made the cards out of paper, decorated their names on them, and then on January 6 when school started I gave it to them. I did my act of kindness on January 3.

My act of kindness went really well. I gave them the cards and they were really thankful and happy. I felt really warm-hearted making them and watching their reaction. Their reaction was them hugging me, saying thank you, and some of them acted serious. I didn't physically ask them to Pay it Forward because I already wrote in the card explaining to do it and what it is.They reacted by reading it in the card or saying 'okay'.

The idea of Pay it Forward is a good idea because it's a good way for people to spread their kindness to other people making almost like a 'tear drop' effect. My act of kindness has made a difference on how my friends think of me because it makes them think of me as a more thoughtful kind of person, I think. It made them happy.

Sherilyn's Pay It Forward

Part 1: What is Pay It Forward?

Pay it forward is an act of kindness to a stranger, friend or relative. You spread the kindness with 3 people or even more the 3 people with do the same and it just get bigger, which will go on and on with no ending.

Part 2
My Pay it forward of kindness was making letters to my closest friends and saying how thankful I am to be friends with them. I did it with Jules, Mika, and Katrina but we made our own separate cards. (The picture below is Jules' cards.)
Jules thought of the idea because she thought it was a good way to thank our friends for all the great stuff they did for us. I gave my letters to Dani, Rona, Gabby, Seemeen, Janette, Rona, Patty and Zoe because they are my best friends and the people I helped. I wrote in the letters "I'm thankful for.." and putting the reason why I'm thankful for that person. I made the cards at January 3 and gave the letters at January 6.

Part 3:
My act of kindness went really well, my friends were really happy and thankful too. Their reaction when they were done reading was being thankful also saying "Oh my gosh.." and they hugged me making me feel so warm-hearted, and seeing their reaction when they are done reading my letter. I didn't ask them to do it Pay it Forward because they already knew what we had to do, but if they didn't know I already know that they would do an act of kindness.

Part 4
The idea of Pay if forward is important because it can help change a lot of people in a good way, and also making other people tearing up effect. My pay it forward didn't really make a difference but it made my friends have different emotions to me because it make them think of a kind loveable person.

Aaron's Pay it Forward

Part 1
Pay it Forward is doing a random act of kindness towards someone you know, or to a stranger what, happens is that you do something good for them and they spread it to 3 other people and its keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

Part 2
well what i did was I went and bought a $50 PSN card for my friend (Tyle) and then the second thing i did was i used my Birthday money to buy a skateboard for my other friend (Jordan) from a different school in total the skateboard was $200.

Part 3
I feel really good for doing that stuff because i never did anything like that before and they really had a big smile on there faces and that makes me smile to.

Joshua's Pay It Forward

Part 1
"Pay it forward" means to do a good deed, or to do a random act of kindness to 3 and each one of them will help/do another good deed to other 3 people, which it will makes a chain and that chain will get bigger and bigger, if people keeps doing good deeds.

part 2
My pay it forward act of kindness is shoveling my neighbors and my friends' front and backyard. I chose this activity because it snowed several days and I want to help them, so they don't need to worry a shoveling their own back and front yard and focus what they need to do. I helped my neighbors and my friends. I shoveled the snow, on their back yard to their front yard. I did the act of kindness in January 5,2014.

Part 3
My act of kindness went exactly well. My neighbors thank me, for helping them shovel their back and front yard. I felt really happy, because I helped someone and made their day easier. They react surprise, because some people are doing good deeds to other people. I just ask them if they could do an act of kindness to other people and they said sure, they react pretty confident saying yes, because it showed them how it's really important to help other people.

Part 4
I think the idea of  pay it forward is important because if we help people, that people will do something nice to other people and it will make the world better and nicer. I think my act of kindness made a difference because it changed how I act kind and help to people.

Denice's Pay It Forward

Denice's Pay It Forward

Part 1:
Pay It Forward is a random act of kindness to anyone. This act of kindness helps the person to pass it on to a another person... and another. This is the act that make everybody's day and make them smile.

Part 2:
My act of kindness is something, when I write a note or letter to my neighbor's mailbox and windshield and saying have a nice or wonderful day. I chose this act of kindness because I wanted my neighbor to have wonderful day. And to show how happy I'am to be living in a wonderful neighborhood.

Part 3:
My act of kindness went really well I was really happy I did a act of kindness to my neighbors I hoped I made their day saying "I wish you to a Wonderful day and I hope this note made your day! :) P.S- Pay It Forward!"

Part 4:
The idea of Pay It Forward is really important because I help someone make their day and make a difference to everyone. I really like this idea because I made someone's day wonderful ( i hope) but still if the act of kindness didn't made their they I'm still glad I made others a wonderful day! And mine also.

Zoe's Pay It Forward

Part 1
Pay It Forward is something you do to help others or make them feel good without getting anything in return. A random act of kindness. When doing Pay It Forward you're doing it to make a difference in the world, to make an impact. It doesn't matter if you start off small or start off big. The purpose is to make someone or something feel good. During Pay It Forward you're not only making someone else feel good, you're making yourself feel good. By getting nothing in return but a smile, it makes you feel real good inside and i think that's what the purpose really is. To not only make someone else feel good but to make yourself feel good as well. If you make yourself feel good by doing one random act of kindness it gives you that motivational drive to keep doing more. Eventually, when everyone else realizes this, then maybe we can really change the world.

Part 2
My Pay It Forward act of kindness was donating clothes and books to charity. I choose this activity because the all the proceeds go to D'Arcy's Arc Animal Shelter, they are a no kill shelter and they provided me with two of my pets. I helped the animals and the people who adopt them. I donated old clothes and books. I did this act of kindness on Jan. 2, 2014.

Part 3
My act of kindness went very well and the store employee was very happy. She thanked me and let me pet the grumpy store cat. I did not ask the person to pay it forward because I wrote it in or on all of the boxes. She smiled when she saw what i wrote on the boxes.

Part 4
The idea of Pay it Forward is important because I think people should think about each other more. I think that thinking only about your self makes you quite selfish and well, its nice to give random acts of kindness to people even if you don't know them. It may just be like opening the door for them little as that sounds it makes them happy because well they might of have many things in their hand.
I think my act of kindness has made a difference because now the animals will hve enough money so that the shelter can feed them and find them a new home. ☻

Amanda's Pay It Forward

Part 1
What is Pay It Forward?
- Pay It Forward is something you do to help others or make them feel good without getting anything in return.

Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
- My Pay It Forward act of kindness was walking around my neighborhood going door to door with Ainsley putting letters and candy canes in people's mailboxes, it was one of the coldest days during our break, but with Ainsley I had so much fun. I also gave out letters and candy canes to the grade 7 girls after basketball practice. The letters were short and sweet with holiday greetings on them. I also got chocolates for Mr.Mark, our basketball coach.
Why did you choose this activity?
-  I chose this activity not only because it was simple and easy but because I know it's always nice to get greeted on the holidays. I thought it would be nice and thoughtful to give the cards out too.
Who did you help?
- What Ainsley and I did didn't really help people, it was suppose to make those people feel happy. To make them feel joy and to know that there are some really thoughtful and kind people out there. You could say we helped those who were feeling down or not in the mood at the moment, or those that needed some holiday spirit! I guess we did it to put a smile on their face.
What did you do?
- I wrote cards and bought candy canes and put them in mailboxes and handed them out to a couple of grade 7 girls.
When did you do your act of kindness?
- We did our act of kindness on December 30th (one of the coldest days we could've picked) and January 3rd.

Part 3
How did your act of kindness go?/ What happened?
- I think our act of kindness went pretty good, it was a whole lot of fun and I'm hoping that the people that received them enjoyed them too. It was easy but thoughtful, so overall I thought it went great. Except for the fact we were freezing, my eye lashes got frozen and so did Ainsley's hair. It was about -30 to -35, wasn't the best day to do it but we sucked it up and went out there. We gave out the cards and candy canes, we were out there for about half an hour, it's not that long but we sure got a lot done.
How did you feel?
- Doing our Pay It Forward made me feel really good, it made me feel happy and as you can see in our videos we had a great time doing it. Even though we had to do it for our project it really made me feel like I was doing it for me, like it was my decision. That's what really felt good, giving back.
How did that person or people react?
- I'm not totally sure how the people we gave the cards too reacted because we only put them in the mailboxes. I really hoped the liked them and enjoyed our little notes. When I was giving them out to the grade 7's they were so confused. They kept asking what was it for, I didn't tell them it was for our project, I said it was to make them feel happy and to smile. They were really excited and loud when I gave it to them, also when I told them to take a candy cane they all tried to put their hand into the bag all at once! They were really happy and I thought that was great!
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
- In the cards I did write Pay It Forward, I think that's an important part that we should've included while doing this. Just to tell them or let them know that they should do something nice to others.
How did they react to your request?
- I'm not sure how the people I gave it too reacted because we did only put the cards in mailboxes and all the grade 7 girls wanted to read theirs at home since they needed to leave right away.

Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay It Forward" important?
- I think that the idea of Pay It Forward is important because it makes yourself and others feel good. Some people don't know this but they're doing it all the time. For example when others open the door for other people that's a random act of kindness, small acts of kindness or big, it doesn't matter. Without random acts of kindness people wouldn't be as social or out there as others, by doing acts of kindness we're showing people that they don't have to be afraid of the world. The point is to make others happy and doing it without getting anything in return.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
- I don't know if my act of kindness made a difference yet. Hopefully it does soon, well even if it happens tomorrow or 2 years from now it would still be worth it to know you did something nice for that person. Even if it doesn't make a difference there's always a second chance to try again, actually when doing Pay It Forward we get unlimited chances to try and try again. There's no limit to kindness, some people don't realize that yet. Hopefully I can make an Impact on the world or to the community at least, that  people will remember.

I hope you enjoyed my Pay It Forward!!

Sophia's Pay It Forward

Part 1:
Pay It Forward is random acts of kindness you do to 3 people. Then those 3 people will do acts of kindness to 3 more people. Then it will repeat to those different people and so on. Those people could be a family, stranger, friend, or just someone you know. Its something you do just because you want to, not to get money or you can do it to maybe make them happy or make their day when they are sad.

Part 2:
My act of kindness was to give thanks for everything I have, so I gave my parents a note and wrote how thankful I was. I chose this activity because it was something I wanted to do and also to make my parents know how much I love them. I guess I helped my parents, to make them smile and to let them brighten their day. What I did was I got a piece of paper and wrote my "thankful" thoughts and given it to my parents. Well, I did this act of kindness today, because I planned this but like hesitant to give it because I was shy.

Part 3:
My act of kindness went well, they were happy about the letter. What happened was they were pleased to read the letter they smiled. It made me feel really happy that they liked it, even if there was no reward I was very happy. Well the reaction of the reading I wasn't really there in their face so.. yeah. but I think they would have cried a little bit. Well I didn't ask them to "pay it forward" because I forgotten, and yeah so I will actually do that.

Part 4:
The idea of Pay it Forward is important because I think people should think about each other more. I think that thinking only about your self makes you quite selfish and well, its nice to give random acts of kindness to people even if you don't know them. It may just be like opening the door for them little as that sounds it makes them happy because well they might of have many things in their hand. I also think that people should care about their people because well, you cant really talk to a monkey or a duck I guess you can be friends with them.?? Has my act of kindness made a difference? Well I don't know if my act of kindness made a difference I guess it would because if someone is happy they would help someone else?

Josh J.'s Pay It Forward

Part One

The act to "Pay It Forward" means to do a good deed just because....Once the good deed is done, the receiver of the good deed must do a good deed to 3 other people to continue on the positive chain. This chain keeps on getting bigger and bigger due to the fact that it spreads out by 3 for each person it reaches to.
For example, if we start with 1 person, that person must do it to 3 people. Then those 3 people must do a good deed to 3 other people. That's already a ton of people involved within the chain!

Part Two

Our Act of kindness was to raise money and to donate the money to a good cause. In our cases, we raised $84.00 from selling a Filipino dessert called "Puto" to our family and friends. We then donated the $84.00 to Winnipeg Harvest, near Lucky Supermarket. We chose to do this as our act of kindness because we thought that Winnipeg Harvest would have the potential to enlarge the Pay it Forward community by a ton since they do help out around the community anyway. We also chose this as our act of kindness because our group (Patrick, Marc, Denzel, and Me) all wanted to at least have fun while doing this act (Baking). We also not only helped Winnipeg Harvest, but our families bellies as well! We filled their bellies with joy and good taste!
In this act, I made the video and found the venue to where we can all work, and of course I helped a little bit in the cooking. This all took place on Dec 27, and on Jan 2

Part Three

Our Act of Kindness went well. It barely took any bravery to enter a building we never entered because of the great hospitality at Winnipeg Harvest. Everyone had a fun time cooperating with the staff at Winnipeg Harvest and we all had fun just meeting each other! When we got their everything went smooth or to as planned. We gave them the money, said that we were donating, and how Pay It Forward works. Luckily they accepted the money and considered not only us as good people, but the school itself as good people. When we gave the money, I felt accomplished. I never thought we would have the guts to just even go inside Winnipeg Harvest. Sometimes I get really shy when I have to work with things that I'm not even familiar with at all. When we gave the money, the person at the front desk seemed shocked. She right away asked where we came from and we all answered "Sargent Park School". The lady said that she knew where our school was in a way that made me feel like she knew we were coming. It's like Sargent Park is a partner with the world! We didn't ask the lady who accepted the money to Pay it Forward because forcing them to do so isn't really that pleasant and it doesn't add up to a good first impression, so I thought just telling them about the act was enough.

Part 4

The idea to "Pay It Forward" is important because this idea was made to change the world positively. Now I know this sounds like one of those normal everyday change the world sort of things but this idea is different.
The Pay It Forward act has been going on for a very LONG time already and it is still active today! The Pay It Forward Act is really successful and we hope that it continues on as of today. Our act of Kindness definitely made a difference because not only did we donate money, we also put smiles on peoples faces.

Ainsley's Pay It Forward

Part 1:
Pay it Forward is when you share an act of kindness. In the movie, Pay It  Forward, it shows that it's supposed to have a ripple effect. It starts off and it goes by threes but in our case, it doesn't really matter. It doesn't mean you just think about it and share an idea, you actually do it. The things you do would be kind, helpful, or maybe even generous but afterall, you do it for no reason but to feel good. You don't get paid but you get rewarded with most likely - a smile.

Part 2:
My Pay it Forward act of kindness is was handing out cards and candy canes! The cards had friendly holiday greetings in them. Amanda and I chose this activity because we figured it would be such a simple and easy task yet so thoughtful and kind. It's not everyday where you find an unexpected but super friendly card in your mailbox! Even though it was nice of us to do that, we didn't really "help" anybody. The purpose of this was to make people smile and pass along good vibes. We handed out the cards and candy canes on the 30th of December and on January 3.

Part 3:
Our act of kindness went pretty well. It was really easy putting them in peoples' mailboxes and it was actually pretty fun, which you could tell by the videos. Amanda and I were super cold but we made the best of it! While doing this project, I felt super kind yet cold at the same time. Not cold as in mean and negative but cold as in temperature wise. It was about -30 on that day but having Amanda with me just made it better. I felt kind because we were just volunteering to do all of this. Even though it was for a project, we didn't get paid and we didn't expect to! On that day, I was really happy because I felt so generous and after all, if you know Amanda and I, there's never a dull moment. Anyway, we didn't see how they people reacted because we just left the cards and candy canes in their mailboxes so hopefully they see them. But, in the cards, we did mention to pay it forward so hopefully that gives them an idea.

Part 4:
The idea of Pay It Forward is important because it's not a negative act, it's a positive act. This shows that no matter how young, old, tall, or short you are, you could do it and it will lead to a positive impact. It could lead to a bunch of smiles and it will also show who you could be and who you truly are. Our act of kindness might have not made a big difference but it might have gave people ideas and maybe even motivated them to pay it forward as well. This might have made them think that something so small can make anyone's day.

Dani's Pay It Forward

Part 1
Pay it forward is when you do a random act toward someone, this act helps the person and passes it on. This can be direct or indirect.

Part 2
My pay it forward was giving notes to my neighbors. I chose this activity because I wanted to brighten up their day. I help my neighbors. I wrote a greeting to the cards and "Pay It Forward". I did this on January 1.

Part 3
My act of kindness went well. I felt really happy knowing that I was the reason they smiled. I did not see how they reacted. Yes I did, I put it on the notes. I didn't see how they reacted since I didn't tell them directly.

Part 4
The idea of Pay it Forward is important because it can help make a difference to the world in a good way. The act I did was not big. I think I made my neighbors smile and brighten their day.

Seemeen's Pay It Forward

Part 1
Pay it Forward is when you do a random act of kindness to 3 different people and then those 3 people do a random act of kindness to 3 other people, this creates a ripple affect. These people do not expect anything in return, they just do a random act of kindness to feel good about it.

Part 2
My pay it forward act of kindness was buying different items and donating them to the children's hospital. I chose this activity because I thought all of those kids in the hospital that are sick and they have nothing to do, sometimes they just lie there and watch TV, sleep, the nurse might come in and take there blood, or they might have to get a CT scan or a Cat scan. So I decided to bring them something that they can do while they are in the hospital, I wanted them to take there mind off, of why they were in the hospital. I helped kids that were sick in the hospital. I bought different activities/ toys that they can play with/ do. I did my act of kindness on Jan.2,2014.

Part 3
My act of kindness went well, I feel really good about what I did. I felt so good about it I think that I might sign up for their Dr. Goodbear Club and they ask for people or other kids my age to raise money and awareness for things like donate books and give a birthday present to kids in the hospital on their birthday. I walked into the donation centre and a lady came up to me and asked who I was and why I was there. I told her I spoke to Tammy on the phone and she said I could come o the 2nd or 3rd of January. She then asked me to fill out some information and take a picture with Blair a very nice man, so that their Facebook page. They were so grateful for what I did. At first they looked shocked a me when I told them my age and how a girl at 13 could do something so big. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the looks on the kids faces when they saw the gifts. No, I did not ask the person to pay it forward, I explained what it was and why I was doing what I did, but I didn't ask them to pay it forward. When I first called them to ask when I could go and donate them the lady sounded surprised and she said " Right on! The kids would love that." she gave me the response that I was hoping for. I didn't ask the person to pay it forward because I thought that they already had so many problems in trying to help the kids, so I didn't want to put something else on their minds to worry about.

Part 4
I think the idea of pay it forward was important because so many people need there life to be more exciting or sometimes to brighten up people's day. Also because it is the nice thing to do. My act of kindness can make a difference because many kids will be happy that someone cares and that they want them to smile. I know that my pay it forward will make a difference in each and every one of those 16 kids.

PatriciaA's Pay It Forward

Part one: What is Pay It Forward?
Pay it Froward is doing some random acts of kindness to a friend,a stranger, and even a family member.
You could give someone a note with something nice inside, help around the house or give a random stranger a cookie, its could be anything to brighten someones mood up and do something nice to someone else.

Part 2:
My paw it Froward was giving a nice note to one of my neighbors. One of the notes said"
You Made it through 2013! This is for the people who didn't make it through 2013>You're so lucky to have made it.I did this on the first day of the New year so the note I
  mentioned was on the date.

Part Three:
My act of kindness went grate, I felt good that I gave the notes I made. Um.....I dint see there reaction since I just put it on their mailboxes.I did put "Pay it Forward" on their notes but I didn't actually say to them directly Pay it Forward.

Part four:
Pay it Forward is important is because what if someone life is terrible and they never felt the kindness that people they love give them and there alone in the world. So if i give a random act of kindness to three people that random act of kindness have better day so they pass it on to three more people and its a whole ripple affect of kindness.

Jonathan Lu and Raymond Bautista Pay it Forward

Our Pay it Forward act of kindness was to brighten people's day with kind messages. We chose this activity because we wanted to make people think positively and to encourage them to do something nice to other people in the future. For our act of kindness, we are going to help random strangers in one street. We placed sticky notes that have positive sayings onto people's mailboxes. We did this random act of kindness on December 12 and December 16.

Our endeavor went well because we made a few people happy and it also made us delighted. We stuck notes on peoples mailboxes and made some people very happy. I felt really joyful inside because I know that the people are happy and some even gave us positive feedback. One of the strangers was really happy about what we did and it made his day. Probably some other people felt the same way. We did tell him to ''pay it forward'' and gave a little explanation on what ''pay it forward" is about. The person agreed to take part of ''pay it forward'' sometime in the New Year.

I think the idea of ''pay it forward'' is important because people need to help others to make a difference in the world in a positive way. Without ''pay it forward'', everything would be the same and nothing would get better. We need the world to be a better place for everyone. Our act of kindness made a difference because people were happy and they will do the same to others. If that kept on going the whole world will be a positive, happy, safe place to live in.

Angel's Pay it Forward

Part 1
"Pay it Forward" is a random act of kindness done towards an individual or a group of people. If by chance he, she or they would like to repay you for your deed, you could instead just tell he, she or they to "Pay it Forward" giving them a chance to do something nice for 1 or more other people.

Part 2
My "Pay it Forward" act of kindness was serving and performing for the seniors at the Betelstadur home. I chose this activity because it was an idea that my friends and I thought of on our own and we thought "Hey! Why not start off their day with a little smile caused by a couple of strangers?" We helped the seniors and did it by getting them cups of coffee and plates of food while they were talking to their neighbours and enjoying the drawings and messages in the Christmas cards we gave them. We did our act of kindness around noon on Christmas Eve.

Part 3
I think our act of kindness went pretty well. We went to the sun room, prepared the food and were gladly welcomed with open arms. After a while of serving them coffee and food, we performed a song for them and were gladly praised. I felt at first relieved that they would take time off their day to come out of their rooms and see what we had prepared for them. Seeing their smiling faces was heart warming and nice. As for their reactions, I was happy to hear that they were amazed that young girls like me are taking time off their day to do something nice for a bunch of strangers without anything in return. We had a speech after our performance telling them the meaning of "Pay it Forward" and encouraging them to pass it on to others. I don't remember their reactions to our request but I hope they consider doing a random act of kindness to another stranger or to someone they know.

Part 4
I think the idea of "Pay it Forward" is important because people are faced with problems everyday and sometimes doing a random act of kindness lightens up their mood helping that person face that problem and also to lighten up another persons mood. I do believe my act of kindness made a difference because it gave them something to remember on a rough day that can make them smile.

Heather's Pay it Forward

Part 1
Pay it Forward is doing an act of kindness towards others. It can be indirect or direct. You don't get anything in return, you just feel good about it. And if they do offer something in return you just tell them to pass on an act of kindness to other people.

Part 2
My Pay it Forward act of kindness was visiting a senior home Betelstadur.
I chose to do this activity because they are grandparents, parents, friend, daughter and son to others and they have been there for their family and friends. Others don't realize how big of a help they were to us, so I payed it forward to them as an act of kindness and appreciation.
I helped out the seniors who lives alone at the senior home at Betelstadur.
There we accompanied the seniors. My friends and I served them free coffee and food like egg rolls, cupcakes, cookies, mandarins, etc. We chatted for a little bit and handed each one of them a Christmas card.
My friends and I did this act of kindness on Christmas Eve at Betelstadur during 1:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M.

Part 3
My act of kindness went very well.
My friends and I along with my friend's mom, great aunt and my sister (Bethel) helped us buy supplies and ingredients for the seniors. We bought Christmas cards, supplies for baking, ingredients for the food we made and Christmas hats for us to wear. After buying the ingredients for the food we made, my friends and I went to cook the food and brought them over at the seniors home. We went to the seniors home around 10:30 A.M. and prepared the place for them. My friends and I then chatted a little bit with them and at 3:00 P.M. we cleaned up and went to celebrate Christmas Eve with our family and friends.
It was a long day for us, though it felt good seeing those bright smiles on their face.
They were very fond of our act of kindness for them, it was so nice seeing them interact with their neighbours and friends.
We did ask them to Pay it Forward. They didn't react a lot, but while we were saying it, I saw a lot of them having serious faces and it seemed like it was for sure that they will pay it forward to someone else too.

Part 4
Pay it Forward is important because it brings back the joy and love to all people. It shows how a small act of kindness can be a big difference to all people. This small act of kindness spreads bigger and is a world-wide action.
I do think that my pay it forward act of kindness has made a difference because to the seniors, they were not lonely and they gathered together to have a great time with those who love them and who they love the most.
